Altenburg Germany Floral Covered Biscuit Jar # 26055

This is an Altenburg Germany floral covered biscuit jar in an unknown pattern. It is likely from the early 1900s. The jar is white with a peach color trim, pink roses and green leaves and it has no trim color. The jar is six sided with a scalloped rim and it has a very tiny chip on the rim that I did not get a picture of. It has a large pink rose design on one side and a much smaller pink rose design on the other. Both are shown. There is some nice shaping and raised details in the porcelain under the rim and at the base.

The jar measures 4.75 inches wide and it is 6.00 inches tall and about as deep to the rim. It is 7.75 inches tall to the top of the lid.

The maker’s mark is shown. The jar has no other chips, cracks, crazing, staining or other damage.
