Carl Thieme Small Covered Dish with Roses # 27423

This is a small footed dish with a lid that I belive is by Carl Thieme. It is an off white color with a darker base and some darker spots. It has small pink dimensional roses and rosebuds on it with green leaves. The base bowl has two twisted handles and the lid has one matching handle. The bowl looks old and the lid looks too big for the bowl, but the set matches. I have included a picture of the top rim of the bowl as it’s rather crude and misshapen. The rim has one tiny chip in it, the rim is thin and sharp and not at all even. Add to that the lid looks too big, but fits. It’s a bit unusual, but could make a nice trinket box.

The base bowl measures 3.00 inches across. It is 2 1/8 inches tall to the rim and about 2.00 inches deep. The set is 4 1/8 inches tall to the top of the handle.

The bowl has no chips other than a tiny chip on the inside of the rim. All of the flowers and leaves are intact and there is no damage to the handles which are hallow. The dish is marked as shown.
